Dr Paul Rylott - Melford Green Alpacas

Dr Paul Rylott, was until 2004, Head of BioScience at Bayer CropScience Ltd, where he was responsible for the company’s GM crop programme. As a consequence, he was no stranger to the media spotlight. Following Bayer’s decision to stop work on their European GM programme Paul was made redundant. He formed his own company - Melford Green: an alpaca business based in Suffolk.

Within the workshop, Paul will speak about how lessons learned during his previous career helped shape his new business. He will discuss the importance of marketing with emphasis placed on pro-active media management and give practical tips on how to achieve this.
