The annual Farms for Schools Conference 2009
Tuesday 27th & Wed 28th January

If you are attending the conference please park in the main car park (see 30 on map below).

Registration on Tuesday - is at 9.30am in the Education Room (see 25 on map below). Trade stands will also be situated here. For those of you just attending on Wednesday please also register at 9.30am in the Education Room.

The Workshop Sessions are situated in the Education Room, The Honey Comb Room and the Bridge Room.
All run concurrently so delegates have the opportunity to attend all of the workshops.

The dinner on Tuesday evening is in the Honey Comb Room which is below the Education Room.

The 2009 National Conference is again set to take place at an Educational Establishment. The Barleylands Cente boasts a small animal and livestock farm and purpose built education suite.

The two day event will be held in the vibrant surroundings of the Farm Centre, Craft Village, and Education Rooms. Accommodation is not available on site but you will find a list of accommodation addresses that was compiled by the Barleylands Centre.

  • Paul Aitken - Country Channel TV.
    Paul will be talking about Country Channel TV generally and what they do to promote countryside issues in education and the differences between education an understanding of the countryside and land processes and how important this is to children and young people today.

    Paul will speak about how lessons learned during his previous career helped shape his new business. He will discuss the importance of marketing with emphasis placed on pro-active media management and give practical tips on how to achieve this.
